Apache
By Tanya Landmand
"I have to say that this book surprised me. When I read the blurb I expected a story where the fact that a girl could become an Indian warrior would be the dominant factor and the story would take second place. In fact the opposite was true; it is a good tale where, at times, we are so engrossed with the story we forget the heroine is in fact female.
What we have here is a thrilling and fast moving story that is told in an easy manner that grows out of thorough research. The way the heroine thinks and speaks comes over as authentic Apache. The plot develops seamlessly and at no point does anything seem forced or improbable. The twists and turns keep the interest and I put this book down reluctantly to eat and sleep; I can't say that about many books.
I would thoroughly recommend this book to anyone who just wants a good read as well as to those who have an interest in history. You will not be disappointed."
