Heart Of Darton

The Heart of Darton was formed in 2000 to provide an organisation who could put on community events for the Darton and District villages. We are a none profit making organization, and donate surplus funds to local charities.

Since 2000 we have organised The Darton & District Carnival - a traditional style carnival help annually, which attracts up to 2,500 people. This events caters for the younger children, not so young children, young adults, parents and grandparents.

In 2006 we also organised a Music Festival, this events hosts a variety of local bands (around 14 different bands each year), and is aimed at the teenage and young adult age groups. We have attracted around 1,300 people to the event.

We are always interested in people willing to help organize these events, either through the planning process or on the day. We also would be interested in craft stallholders, local groups etc wishing to attend the carnival.
