What we offer
- Access to places on community based courses.
- Help to access places on college or university courses.
- Information and advice on adult education courses in the community and at college or university - either call us or make an appointment to see us at Mapplewell Village Hall.
- Course brokerage - we arrange courses for adults and families in community venues (including schools) - please let us know your interests as this will influence the local provision we are able to organise - call us or pop in and see us.
- Dedicated support to help you progress in your learning - we are on hand to help you even when you are on courses.
- Help to improve your job / career prospects - we have access to a free community based Job Mentoring service (known as the Key Worker service).
- Volunteering opportunities - Join our team of Neighbourhood Learning Net volunteers (Learning Champions) and access benefits such as free training, network events and becoming part of our community learning team.
- Family learning - we set up events and activities for families in local schools and other community venues and outdoor areas. Look out for information leaflets or check this website.
You can contact Barry, Alison and Cath for help with anything about learning, educational courses and career progression. You can register with NLN by filling out a simple form telling us your interests. We can then let you know if courses of interest to you are coming up.
