Art and Design

Art and Design is a general art course, which allows students to develop different strengths. Our aim is for students to develop very individual work, reflecting their own taste and personality.You will explore ideas using a wide variety of media and try to find the most suitable media to express ideas.

There will be a number of mediums that students have the opportunity to use including paints, pencil, pastels, inks, dyes, wax, collage, felt pens, stencils, textiles, 3D materials, clay, card, mosaic and ICT.

Pupils will be introduced to the work of artists through traditional methods of Internet and printed reproductions but also through meeting visiting artists and visiting exhibitions.
