- To express emotions in relationships through choreography eg anger, hate, fear, intimidation
- To develop the pupils' skills in interaction and communication
- To develop the pupils' ability to show tension and complete relaxation
- To overall increase the pupils' movement vocabulary
- To develop the pupil's use of floor work - especially falls and rolls
- To develop skills in trust
- To increase the pupils' ability of performing in groups and to sense other members in the performance
- To use unusual parts of the body to initiate movement
- To increase flexibility through relaxation rather than force
- To develop the pupils' skills in taking the weight of others in lifts and supports

- To create movement using rhythm and timing
