GCSE Science

The Science programme of study has been designed so that knowledge, skills and understanding of how science works in the world at large as well as in the laboratory is set in the context of knowing and understanding scientific facts. The alternative progression routes that we offer allow for greater choice and opportunities for personalised learning.

The AQA GCSE Science A suite comprises of:

• GCSE Additional Science
• GCSE Additional Applied Science
• GCSE Biology
• GCSE Chemistry
• GCSE Physics
• GCSE Applied Science (Double Award)

In these courses the content is presented in separate modules in order to ensure that there is a coherent and consistent understanding of what candidates are required to know, understand and be able to do.
